How to join: Come to the seminar at the scheduled time and talk to the staff in charge.

 

Course Outline:

The English for fun seminar encourages Japanese students, staffs and teachers to communicate in English through activities they enjoy. The seminar includes discussion about hobbies and leisure activities such as music, movies, game and others. From time to time we play board games which help to develop attendees’ vocabulary and grammar and push them toward communicating in English.

 

Class Outline:

In general the English for fun seminars are discussion oriented. We start our seminar with “what’s new” segment before moving to the day’s activity. After that we share our actualities or leisure activities, watch movies, listen to music, play games etc. Finally, we discuss and check if we have learnt any vocabulary, grammar or new expressions from those.

Week 11: Play Monopoly game        

Week 12: Sports and game discussion         

Week 13: Movie night

During this seminar we aim to enhance our English by doing something fun.

Play Scrabble

Scrabble is a word game in which two to four players score points by placing tiles, each bearing a single letter, onto a gameboard which is divided into a 15×15 grid of squares. The tiles must form words which, in crossword fashion, flow left to right in rows or downwards in columns
