Motivational Talks

The “Motivational Talk” videos are a collection of videos by UEC students and teachers. Topics include students’ motivation to study at graduate school, writing research papers in English, and how to study abroad through UEC study abroad programs and independently.

 

モチベーショントーク」動画は、UECの学生や講師による動画集です。テーマは、大学院留学へのモチベーション、英語での論文の書き方、UECの留学プログラムを利用した留学の仕方、独自に留学する方法などです。

Talk #1: How to Use Latex? - by Edgar Josafat Martínez-Noriega

Edgar completed his doctoral studies at the University of Electro-Communications (UEC) with a doctorate degree in Engineering (Thesis title: Studies on CUDA Offloading for Real-Time Simulation and Visualization). In this video, he talks about his motivation to study at graduate school, his current work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and about how LaTeX, a high-quality typesetting system is used in journal article submissions.

今回の動画のプレゼンターは、電気通信大学で工学博士を取得したエドガーさんです。この動画では、彼の大学院での学習のモチベーションと、現在の東京工業大学でのpostdoctral researcherとしての仕事、そして 投稿論文に使用されることのある組版処理システム「Latex」について紹介しています。

​Talk #3: Talk on Overseas Study - by Masaya Amano

Masaya Amano is a Masters student the University of Electro-Communication (UEC) specializing in solid state physics. In this video, he talks about his experience going to the US, Mexico, and Spain using various funding, and provides advice on what UEC students could do to follow a similar path.

今回の動画のプレゼンターである天野さんは、電気通信大学の学生で、固体物理学を学んでいます。この動画では、奨学金付きプログラムを利用してアメリカ、メキシコ、スペインなどの国々へ渡航した彼の経験について話しています。また、留学を目指す電通大生に向けてのアドバイスも聞けるでしょう。

Talk #4: Preparation to graduate school  - by Josef Neto

Josef Neto from Angola is a Ph.D student at the University of Electro-Communications specializing in Robots interaction with human and artificial consciousness. In this video, he talks about his experience studying in the UK (Manchester University and Glasgow University) and Japan (UEC), working in Angola, and provides advice on how UEC students can prepare for study in graduate school.
